Petr (100%)
Anyone knows if there is a 3ch version of this transmitter available, since the receiver is 3ch ? I need this to control my hovercraft, with 3rd channel controlling the air cushion on/off.
   RCpilot7321 (74%)
They do not have a three channel transmitter available right now from hobby king. But you should look it up on eBay because they have 3ch transmitters..
   MARTINS (52%)
No 3ch transmitter from hobbyking but i have a 3ch EURGLE 2.4ghz who work with the hobbyking receiver 3ch

Hello. Can't get my TX/Rx work. Theres problem in throttle calibration. i just cant trim throttle enough for the neutral green light in my Stampede XL-5 (stock esc). I have tried Reverse mode also and the same thing happens. if i press just a little throttle, the green light comes, but the calibration fails anyway. I think Tx/Rx is broken. :( Is there anyone who can help, or should i send it back?
   Ellis429 (63%)
i think the way to get it set up is backards in the instructions, because the calibration wasnt like the book said when i did it. hold the trigger for the first beep, push it to break for 2nd, and release it for the last one. if that doesnt work, do break first and throttle 2nd. also found it took 2 or 3 times to get it right.

Hi, I just received mine yestarday. Unfortunetely dis not work... the tx just did not goes on... I tried change the baterries even I check them... what could be?

WD2OGUY (100%)
Is the HK-GT2 compatible with other 2.4 DSM receivers and can it be bound to the HK-T4A as I have it installed in one of my boats but would prefer a slef centering throttle stick.
   Chrisfatboy (90%)
It works with the redcat and bsd remotes. Intact they are the exact same units.

RCpilot7321 (74%)
I can not get my reverse to work. What can I do?
   RCpilot7321 (74%)
Never mind, It was just a speed control problem.
   POTIER (47%)
it works fine on mine but you shall configure the ESC for reverse
   rcshopbali (86%)
try to put servo on the rx and play with the throttle and reverse..and see if the reverse work...if not then the item might be faulty.
   RCpilot7321 (74%)
I plugged in a different speed control and it was working fine. So it is something with the speed control not the transmitter.

Ulf68 (100%)
hello!
does it have modelmemory? I have 2 cars I wanna have this in. Can I buy 1 more Receiver and place it in my other car BUT I dont wanna rebind it all the time.
Hope all understand my point:)
   RCpilot7321 (74%)
This transmitter does not have model memory. If you bought a second receiver you will not have to re-bind, but your trims will be messed up and you will have to fix that each time you turn on the transmitter when you use your different cars. Hope that helps.
   Ulf68 (100%)
thank you!:)
   robocomp (84%)
no model memory, easy to setup with multiple recievers, I have 3 working with 1 tx
   Latenight (100%)
No model memory for endpoints. It will stay binded to many receivers. I have had six different receivers binded to one transmitter. With no problems no re-binding needed.
   POTIER (47%)
Just buy another Rx bind it, place it in the car and just use Rx separatly
   POTIER (47%)
no model memory
   rcshopbali (86%)
binding and model memory is two different thing. no it dont have model memory and yes u have to binding it all the time.
   Chrisfatboy (90%)
It doesn't have model memory. But I do the same. I have two receivers and one transmitter all bind to the same transmitter. I just turn on power for whatever car I want to use and drive,

Hugo (97%)
Hi,
can the top of this transmitter be turned around to suit me driving left-handed?
Cheers,
Hugo
   arr105 (68%)
no, it can't be changed
   modelpro (100%)
No you can not do this...but great tx for the price
   Michael (100%)
no it's right hand only
   Chrisfatboy (90%)
Yes, the steering can be reversed.

I tend to hold the unit with my right hand and use my left hand to turn the wheel.

But you can also hold with your left hand and use the right hand to turn the wheel.

Just depends on what feels comfortable.
   Latenight (100%)
No left hand options:-(
   POTIER (47%)
no it can't

   adb140275 (43%)
AAs in the tx and whatever is in ur car for the rx
   Adrian (55%)
You would buy 8 of AAA type bateries or one Li-Po 11,1v
   Jock (43%)
hey you just need 8 AA batteries, the charge port is for rechargeable AA batteries in
   Inakto (35%)
It takes 8 AA batteries. However you can purchase some of these: http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=10456&Product_Name=Turnigy_AA_LSD_2200mah_Low_Self_Discharge_(ready_to_use) and it does come with a charging port however i believe charger is not included
   Chrisfatboy (90%)
8 AA batteries.
   mouchadino (28%)
1350 mAh lipo pack tx battery can be used in these tx
   mervynp (67%)
thanks to all that answered my question most helpful I will use a 11.1v lipo great help
   Dale.E (74%)
unless you plan to open it up, chisle out the battery holder and solder in the apropriate connectors, you cannot fit a lipo in the unit.

I have 8x LSD AA 2200mah Cells in it. works great
   Latenight (100%)
No batteries included. Eight "AA" sized cells should be used.

Hi

Can enyone find me the FCC number for this product?
7/20/2010
Blekkpatron.no AS (60%)
Great radio but HK really have to do something with the weight info on the products. Actual weight of this product is about 612g. This is same with a lot other items from HK. Maximum shipping weight to Norway is 10 kg but with this wrong wegiht info it feels unfear to fill up 10 kg and when goods arrive weight is only 7 - 8 kg and have paid for 10.
   Adrian (55%)
Yeah, its dissapointing , you bought products to 2990g and then you have package about 2300g ... you loose lot of place .
   German (58%)
I like to think about weight as "shipping units", it's a hell of a lot better to know how much are you paying for shipping, and how much more can you order for the same shipping price, just don't think of the grams as normal grams, but rather "chinese grams" :)
   Dale.E (74%)
HK does this due to package size and dimention.
while weight is the only way for the shipping calculator to work on, so they increase the grams to roughly match the shipping 'problem' of each package. think a battery at 680gr vs a block of foam, the block of foam will cost 10 times to ship wha the battery would and weigh less.

Patrick (56%)
Hey,i have order at 17/6/2010 and paid, how long does it take to germany? can anybody help me?
   Ionshock (42%)
Definitely not 3days. If you ordered it and it has 'back ordered', it will only ship to you once HK has sufficient stock. Also, if your order has more then 1 back order items, you must wait for all if it to be available before HK will ship it out to you. As for actual shipping time once the order is fufilled, I cant help much. It would be very much dependent on the postal services involved.
   Patrick (56%)
...not 3 days is sure, but it has status "reserved" since the day i order and the stock meantime over 20 and i saw that over 50 come to HK at "arrivals"
   Patrick (56%)
**-sorry for my bad english
   troy97 (63%)
If your order status is "paid", and goods in your order are in "reserved" status, and there is no "backoder" statuses, parcel should be shipped within 48hrs. And then, I think, about 5 days to Germany.
   Patrick (56%)
it is "paid" since 6/17/2010 3:44:13 AM and also "reserved".... how long have i to wait? because 5 days are over (6/17/2010 until 7/20/2010 is 33 days)
at my profil-start page it is "paid, processing"
and i wait and wait and wait.....im not happy :-(

It will work, but 2.4ghz range is ***r on water, better to use FM maybe.

In the receivers description it's stated that antenna length is 26mm, does it mean that only the small part of wire in transparent shrink-tube is the antenna itself? Can I keep the gray wire in horizontal position under lexan body, and only last 26mm vertical?
   troy97 (63%)
Well I'll answer to my question - yes, it works, I hid the whole antenna under cars body, but bent last transparent 26mm up (still under the body), and it works great, seems like max distance didn't decreased at all.
   Adrian (55%)
2,4 Ghz always have small antena . Its normal for this type of tx&rx
   MVVS (84%)
Yes, it's exactly what you wrote.
   benjamin (91%)
yes i think you can !

It's very hard to get bad reception with these receivers. You will be good to go.

I bought this to try and solve what I thought was a glitching problem with the servo, now however, my servo cant work at all.. ANyone can offer help? It is binded properly as the throttle works fine, when I turn the controls on the tx, the servo doesnt turn. but when I try to move the servo head, the throttle starts. Whats up with that?? I'm working on a 2nd hand TT01D.. Servo is a new fotaba S3003. I have a turnigy HV 787 as well but both do not respond at all..
   Ionshock (42%)
I've also tried to change the battery tray in the tx to take lipo. Now it totally refuses to turn on. =( Any help please?

JAY AYE (55%)
Is the charger port reverse polarity the same as JR
   JAY AYE (55%)
I am amazed that a Company selling a product can not answer questions on that product and manual as useless as !!!!Hobby King have informed me per. email re. polarity of charging jack that they are unable to give Technical advice.well Mr.Hobby King who can?? old saying is "you only get what you pay for" And to just add JR advise the polarity for their charging jack in their manual.
   troy97 (63%)
Outter contact is "-", and inner pin contact is " " I checked. Besides, there is protective diode in the negative line, so you will not burn neither transmitter nor your charger if you confuse polarity. But this protective diode doesn't allow any "smart" charger to measure voltage properly, because it reduces overall voltage by 0.5-0.8V. So I just shorted it by soldering small piece of wire around diode, voltage measures correct now.
   troy97 (63%)
Outter is "negative", inner is "positive". Plus sign wasn't printed for some reason.
   JAY AYE (55%)
Troy, Thank you for your answer,Greatly appreciated JAY AYE

Will HK every get the 3 channel GT3 or GT3B at all? ****flysky-cn****/english/products.asp?prodid=0058
   Jaime (39%)
The first stars are for the w w w and thelast stars are for the dot com part. You can check out the GTB3 on there...it looks like a pretty sweet radio if in fact it even exists. Then again HK doesn't even have a 3 channel radio here. They really need to enable the links or at least stop putting those stars on them. That's just annoying and I know why it's done but how about just the text...please.

Hello. I actually have the FS-GT2 which is almost the same thing compared to Hobbyking's version. The problem I am having is that whenever I try to go full throttle, the car just jumps and even when I get up to speed it is only half compared to my stock remote. This doensn't just happen in my Tornado EPX Pro but also my Exceed RC Champion. Can anybody help???
   troy97 (63%)
Did you do throttle calibration to your ESC? It's necessary if you use new radio. Check ESC's manual.
   fusionbrad (36%)
you need to re calibrate your speed controller to accept max and min throttle points
   jrz895 (40%)
Thank You guys. I discussed this issue with Redcat Racing support and the ESC in my car could not be manually re-calibrated. They told me that I could send mine to them and they'd give me the newer version free that can be re-calibrated!!!
6/27/2010

Will they make a 3 ch version of this? I'd be very interested as the 3rd channel would be great for using a winch or lights on my crawler.

Has anyone tried the receiver on one cell? The specs say it needs 4.5 - 6 volts
   fusionbrad (36%)
try using the new hk voltage booster for single cell operations

If you put too small volts servo will work slow and distance of ride will be smaller .

Can anyone give me the binding procedure? I'm having problems centering the steering. I was hoping I could correct this by re-binding the two but I can't get them to bind. Thanks!
   troy97 (63%)
Binding is simple - connect the bind plug into bind slot on receiver (second from top), then connect power to receiver into VCC slot (first from top) I used ESC with built-in BEC. After that press and hold the bind button on transmitter (located between LEDs) and turn it on (red LED solid, green flashes) while holding bind button. In less than 5 sec. they will rebind.
   metabovi (47%)
plug the binding plug in ch3, turn on the rx, push and hold the button located between red and green led on the tx, then turn on tx. green led will flash, turn both rx&tx off remove binding plug.that is all you have to do.
   SteveG (55%)
I have tried binding the Tx and Rx several times but the servo and steering trim still will not center. I have lots of steering trim in one direction but only a slight amount in the other. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

olisoft (30%)
Hi, like I wrote in my review, You should add in the description that there is the possibility to set-up failsafe for the receiver GT2R.
It's with a push button located left from the diode if you see the image of the receiver.

You only need to push the button before powering on the receiver, after one second you release the button and power on the transmitter withe the controls in the "desired" failsafe position.

Now You can test it by touching the controls and powering off the transmitter. The servos will return to the failsafe state (position).
   liteglow (43%)
hold button in 3 second to "SET" your failsafe option..
   clod_buster04 (67%)
just a note on the failsafe part it is only on the throttle channel number 2 channels 1 and 3 do not have failsafe

It states in the manual that this TX can be used with VRC(Virtual RC) simulator. It states that you need the interface cable which is optional. is the cable the same as the one they sell for the 2.4 6ch tx??
   V0RT3X (30%)
Get the cable off VRC site, it's only 10$ (used to be atleast) and it plugs into the receiver and not the actual transmitter like the plane/heli sim cables and it's not so limited by brands. Get another receiver so you don't have to swap it all the time.
   rsr911 (54%)
The manual shows an USB cable for the connector on the transmitter. I would like to buy the one shown in the manual and not the one V0RT3X mentions, but I can not find it on HK/HC.
   clod_buster04 (67%)
no completely different cable, not sure where you can get the one for the GT-2

If its a nitro or petrol you plug the brake/thottle in channel 2. and if its a car thats electric and also uses a brake servo you need a Y-servo cable

Check the antenna wire. Is it intact all the way down to you receiver? If so, take the receiver apart to see if the antenna is plugged in correctly, or if the connector is damaged.

Failsafe
It's with a push button located left from the diode if you see the image of the receiver.

You only need to push the button before powering on the receiver, after one second you release the button and power on the transmitter withe the controls in the "desired" failsafe position.

Now You can test it by touching the controls and powering off the transmitter. The servos will return to the failsafe state (position).

It says:

Then it talks about 3 channel in the specs.
What is it?
And why is it any spare receivers availible? I need 2 extra receivers for my other cars. I dont want to order before it is back in stock. -20 in stock for a very long time now i think.

Yup, it can be used at the same time, even more than 5 people driving the same lane, me and my buddy have the same tx. what matters is the rx, as long as it is bind only to one tx, your good to go.
   Remi (42%)
yes you can, this is 2.4 ghz system and they do not use crystals like the normal tx & rx do :)
   UrsusRF (28%)

   J_Munk (30%)
Yes, that is the purpose of 2.4GHz Tx & Rx.
Just bind each Rx to each Tx

2,4 GHz is not effected by other radios
